School teachers reinforce learning

Teachers visit Kelly School for observation

Cape Christian elementary staff visited Thomas Kelley Public Schools recently in an effort to view learning activities and methodology used in other schools. Christina Oswald, Debbie Williams, Makayla Newman, Eva Mitchell and Kim Nash went to observe classrooms in their grade level and/or discipline. The intent was not to copy or change but to see what is going on at other schools. We are confident in what we are doing educationally, but teachers and administration in quality schools are always looking to improve and stay current in their field.

The ideas gained can give rise to supplemental activities or reinforce what we do and how we do it. It also provides teachers a chance to spend a day talking and discussing the things they saw and how it influenced their ideas.

Collaboration enhances professional development on the part of our staff.
